New doctoral candidates can find information under:

"Doctoral studies start from June 2012".

Doctoral candidates who were accepted by the faculty according to the previous regulations were transferred with the start of doctoral regulations from 15.11.2016 to them. We would like to point out that a doctorate according to the doctoral regulations in the version of 12.01.2010 is only possible for those doctoral candidates who have already submitted a certificate of supervision (transitional regulation) to the faculty by 31.12.2012. Further information and forms can be found under "Doctoral studies start till May 2012".

PhD student representation

According to § 9 paragraph 4 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (NHG), the doctoral students' representation advises on issues concerning doctoral students and makes recommendations to the organs of the university. The Faculty Council must give the doctoral students' representation the opportunity to comment on drafts of doctoral regulations. A member of the doctoral students' representation usually attends the meetings of the Senate and the Faculty Council in an advisory capacity.
